Celebrating over 90 years since it's founding, the Arias
Troubadours now include the fourth generation of musicians,
singers and dancers. In 1915 at the occasion of the Panama
-California Exposition in San Diego, Ca., Jose Arias founded
the Arias Troubadours not only to entertain audiences but
to continue the traditions and influences of music in early
California.
Through the years the Arias Troubadours have performed for
U.S. Presidents such as former Pres. George Bush, sr., former
Pres. Bill Clinton, and countless celebrities such as Gilbert
Roland, Ricardo Montalban, John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Bob
Hope, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith and Cheech
Marin. That tradition continues today as the Arias Troubadours
appearances include:
Dodger Stadium
The Rose Parade
Universal Studios
Angel Stadium
Santa Barbara's Early California Day's
Moraga Winery, Bel-Air, Ca.
Mission Inn, Riverside, Ca.
The Bowers Museum, Santa Ana, Ca.
There is a long history of association with
the Ramona Pageant which is California's official Outdoor
play. In 1924 Jose Arias and his Troubadours were invited
to perform for the Ramona Pageant. That relationship
continues to this day as during April, 2011 his sons, nephews,
grandchildren and now even great-grandchildren will again
be the Ramona Pageant orchestra, singers and dancers.
